New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is a not-for-profit corporation responsible for comprehensive economic development and industrial real estate services. NYCEDC encourages economic growth in each of the five boroughs of New York City by strengthening the City's competitive position and facilitating investments that build capacity, generate prosperity and catalyze the economic vibrancy of city life as a whole. To accomplish this, NYCEDC:
Develops programs that support attraction and retention goals and provide access to Federal, State and City as-of-right and discretionary tax incentives and tax-exempt financing, as appropriate;
Builds relationships with key business partners and "influencers" to improve businesses' economic commitment to New York City;
Creates a business-friendly climate in the City by developing and vetting proposals for legislative and regulatory changes; and
Advocates for clients in City government-related matters.
